I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because I am flat out sick of the impact cancer has had and continues ot have on all of our lives. I lost both of my parents to cancer in 2002 and since then my life has been touched by many who also have suffered, The good news is, significant progress is being made every day. The bad news is, we're still losing family and friends at an alarming rate. I lost two good friends within 10 days recently. Enough is enough.
I am especially proud that 100% of all rider-generated contributions to riders go directly to support research and patient care at the Dana Faber Cancer Institute in Boston. This great facility is at the forefront of research and treatment and continue to lead the fight towards prevention and cure.
2014 is my 12th consecutive year riding ... preparing for this year's PMC has been a little challenging as I spent the better part of a month in Brasil at the World Cup and just recently moved to Los Angeles, CA. But, cancer doesn't give anyone a break and I certainly won't let a little logistics deter me from riding and raising money.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support.
