Robert Oliver's Ride

Why I Ride ...

I am truly proud and blessed that 2014 will be my third PMC.  The physical aspect of riding the past two years (all 240 miles from Suffield, CT to Provincetown, MA) were something I trained hard for and I'm glad to say I conquered...but the part that has stuck with me the most is the emotional connection I made to this event, to the people involved, to everyone who donated to my efforts and for truly what it all means in the battle against cancer.  For my third PMC, I'm extremely proud to ride along with some great friends on the STIRLING STRONG team.  Stirling Winder was a woman I never met, but like all of us, was someone who was a loved one, a friend, a colleague, a neighbor or just another person you may have met in passing who lost a dreaded battle with cancer.  I choose to ride on this team and ride in the PMC because I know Stirling would want me to wear the flower and ride for a cure!

I also wish to thank the Springfield Falcons Hockey Club for supporting my efforts at my annual "Bob's Ride for Five" in which I will be taking a work day to ride my stationary bike for 8 straight hours.  This year's event was held on Thursday, June 26th as I rode my bike in front of the MassMutual Center in downtown Springfield.

Thanks so much for your love and support of the truly is appreciated!!
