Adam King's Ride
Three times the charm and double the donations
Helping people is addictive. I hope we all get hooked. 2013 will mark my third consecutive year participating in the Pan Mass Challenge (PMC), and while the pressure of fundraising and strain of training are very real, I can't stop. Every day I'm reminded why I need to ride. I am reminded of those who are battling cancer, the families fighting the fight, and the future I'm hoping to create for my children and their children and their children. For the past two years I rode as part of Team Perry, an amazing and inspiring group raising money to directly fund the annual salaries of two research fellows at Dana Farber. This year I've joined Team Cabot at my company to take advantage of its generous donation matching program to try and further boost my fundraising numbers. For every dollar I raise over the $4,300 minimum, the Cabot Foundation will donate an additional dollar. That's two for one, and that's getting it done.
Once again I'll be riding my bicycle (along with thousands of others) from Wellesley, MA to Provincetown, MA, a total of 163 miles in two days. Once again, I'll be asking for your support to help fund a cure for cancer through one of the most powerful and awe-inspring events in the world. This year I'll be riding for Lydia Valdez, Ari Goldwasser, and countless other men, women and children, in our lives and outside our lives, who need our help. Once again, it is my honor to ride for those who cannot.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
