Charles Sennott's Ride
Why I Ride ...
This is my second time riding in the PMC and I’m proud to be
part of its great spirit of giving. I want to thank your for considering a
donation.
So why am I riding? On a personal level, cancer has taken a toll on my extended family and on so many close friends. In particular, this year my thoughts will be with a dear friend who I grew up with, Chris Cobb. He is a father of two and in a tough fight against a cancer of unknown origin. He has also been a big PMC rider in the past and so there will be many of us out there huffing and puffing and thinking of Chris.
My family and I have also seen the fight against cancer up close, as I am sure many of you have as well. I’m also riding in memory of my father, Robert, and my aunt Janet and my mother-in-law, Zelda, all of whom died far too young from cancer. So this ride " and the important cause it supports " means a lot to me. I will be riding with my friend and colleague Jim Wooster as part of Team GlobalPost.
If you don't know this already, you should know that the PMC is a model of fundraising efficiency which since 2007 has donated 100 percent of every rider-raised dollar directly to cancer research and treatment.
Thank you for any help you can offer.
Cheers,
Charlie
