Max Tubman's Ride

Why I Ride ...

I am super proud to be a part of the Pan Mass Challenge for my THIRD year. The past two years have exceeded my expectations more than you could imagine. I think the best part about the PMC is the feeling of community amongst riders, volunteers, spectators and people who support the ride with donations. My first year,  I built a bicycle out of bamboo. Unfortunately this year that won't be possible, as I was in a minor accident and the bike is now out of commission (I intend to try building another again soon). The process of building a bike out of bamboo and riding in the PMC has really been my post cancer therapy;  It is very difficult and doesn't always go the way you think it will. Sometimes, when you think everything is going your way, your bottom bracket and chain stays completely fall apart. My father is a cancer survivor. I am a cancer survivor. I can say from experience in battling cancer, building a bicycle and riding 200 miles across MA, the challenges become much easier when you have the support of family, friends and even strangers. So, I hope you will take the time to donate to my ride, no matter how big or small your donation; every little bit helps. This year I am setting my sights at 6,100 for a fundraising goal.  Thanks for your time.

Total Raised

Last year, 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to the Jimmy Fund.
