Its Next year...
My friend Sean called last year and said, "hey, lets ride 190+ miles and raise $10,000 for Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, I said DEFINITELY... next year" as I was scheduled for knee surgery. Well, its next year. We are also adding names to a Team T-shirt if you would like us to also ride for. Specifically, I am riding for my mother-in-law who we lost to cancer 10 years ago).Anything you can give is truly a blessing and I thank you so much for your contributions. If you cant give, any boo-rahs or other cheerleading you can send my way is very much welcomed!
To boot, I had knee surgery in 2011 - in a soccer game, a long run carried me off-field, and got foot stuck in hole, ACL and bad meni tear. Really nasty. Since I'm not a road biker, I thought this may be a way to get me back in shape (its been hard pedaling with 1.5 legs, but I'll manage).
If you really are looking for inspiration, and see what the PMC looks like, I found this inspiring youtube video:
