Reid Williamson's Ride
Why I Ride ...
First and foremost I ride for my sister, Laura.
Laura was diagnosed with a brain tumor when she was just six years old. From the beginning, the doctors at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute were fantastically supportive and helpful in tirelessly combating my sister’s cancer. Today, the spread of Laura’s tumor has been stopped and Laura is able to attend college in Boston and enjoy a range of physical activities, like skiing with our family and swimming. Truly, we will never be able to thank the doctors and donors enough who made this life possible.
Laura’s dedication and optimism throughout her treatment has showed me that our challenges are never excuses, but sources of inspiration and motivation to improve our communities and change the lives of those around us.
Please consider donating to my ride to help Dana-Farber continue to be able to provide these fantastic treatments as well as to help their pursuit of a cancer-free world. As always, 100% of the donations to my ride will go directly to the Jimmy Fund and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Please visit Dana-Farber.org to learn more about their progress.
This year I will be my first PMC ride. I look forward to the challenge it presents and to contributing to the fight against cancer. As always, my family has been extremely supportive and this effort would not be possible without them!
If you have any questions or would like to share your own story please do not hesitate to email me at ReidEWilliamson@gmail.com. If there is someone special to you that you would like me to ride in honor/memory of, please let me know and his or her name will be included on my jersey.
Thanks!
