William Herman's Ride

Why I Ride ...

I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.

Last year, I rode in my 8th PMC. Unfortunately, because of an injury that involved having knee surgery, I won't be riding in 2011. I will be a virtual rider, however, contributing myself and trying to make it a bit easier for others to donate through my rider page.

In the past year, one of my closest friends was diagnosed with multiple myeloma and the son of another great friend with leukemia. Earlier, my wife lost her aunt to cancer, I lost my aunt to cancer and my mother was a multiple cancer survivor. It's scary and it's everywhere.

Please support me on my "virtual" ride, but more importantly, if you can, please support Dana Farber's efforts in stopping this horrible disease.

Thanks.
